My thesis aimed to get a better understanding of how customers get influenced by implementing game mechanics in a consumer environment.

CTED

Pop it was created during my work on my thesis. It was aimed to get a better understanding of how customers get influenced by implementing game mechanics in a consumer environment. This project was a collaboration with CTED which is a creative production company specialising in brand experience and live communication.

CTED contributed with their knowledge and inspiration into my project and design. Together with the creative director, we worked on generating and testing different idea solutions during the concept development phase.

UX Challenge

A while into the project, we departed our own ways and I continued to research, design and develop a game prototype. This also enabled me to conduct different user and field testing, which provided some interesting data and possible enhancements.

UX Solution

The project consists of one concept divided into four game sub-concepts. These sub concepts are thought to be strategically placed out around the shopping mall (which is located in Malmö City named Hansa Companiet)  to hopefully get people’s attention. One of these sub-concepts that I designed and developed as a prototype is explained and shown in the video above.
